'Eye of the Dragon'

Exotic hibiscus 'Eye of the Dragon' is a cousin of 'Black Dragon,' and the two together are grandchildren of the original "dragon" hibiscus, 'Dragon's Breath.' 'Eye of the Dragon' blooms with a dark wine red 6-8" single flower with a black eye. The mother of 'Eye of the Dragon' is 'Dancin' Dragon.' The father is the dark wine blue-purple 'Pinot Noir.' This cross produced the sought-after, dragon-colored flower with a much improved bush and the stronger health and vigor from the newer hybrid, 'Pinot Noir.' Released from HVH in 2018. Hybridizer: C.
